the sights that I'm seeing are priceless
Every year I go through the same situation: it's almost spring and the weather starts to get warmer, and I get overenthousiastic. You see, 15 degrees doesn't feel the same as 30 degrees, but my mind just doesn't realise that once it sees that first ray of sunlight. So the beginning of spring, for me, is always this vague period of getting all siked about summer, (I hate winter with a passion) yet feeling sad about the fact that you'll still have to wait a few weeks, if not months before you can actually do all those typical summer-y things. Nevertheless, I can't wait to start wearing my summerwardrobe, sit in the sun, go out for drinks with my friends and swim like my life depends on it. So, I'm wondering, what do you absolutely love about summer? What are you looking forward to? I'll leave you hanging in those pre-spring blues with some of my favourite pictures to make me wander off into summerwonderland...

In need of a change of pace
On Friday I went to do some promo for Groezrock at the Eyes Set To Kill and Caliban show. I have to say, I had a really great time! Eyes Set To Kill's merchguy was the funniest dude I've ever met, seriously that guy knows how to sell stuff! After the show I released my inner fangirl and took a picture with Anissa Rodriguez, Eyes Set To Kill's bass player. I used to play bass myself, so it's always cool to see a girl rock the bass on stage!
Pictures thanks to Thiago Struys

p.s.: I have about 2 hours left to pump the director, plot and main actors of about 70 movies into my head.
Student life: knowing you're going to fail but still refusing to do something about it.
Have a good evening guys!

An ocean of time
There are so many books I want to read. So many movies I'd love to see. There's so much music out there that is yet to be explored. I wanna fill my head with information and never feel satisfied with the amount of things I know. I wanna watch documentaries and find out about things I've never even heard of. Be fascinated by everything and find out what truly happens in the world. What really happens outside your own little bubble. See everything that is out there. Meet every single person and hear their own stories. Yet here I am. I only have 24 hours a day of which we are naturally obligated to spend about 6 hours asleep. The other 18 hours are filled with things that we're supposed to be doing, things that we don't even think about. Or at least we try not to think about them, or we'd lose our minds. Wake up, eat, work, eat, sleep and do it all over again. Every single day. While there's a world out there, waiting to be discovered.

GROEZROCK 2012
Can I just say that 28&29 April are marked in my agenda with neon marker, and the page just has GROEZROCK!!!!! written all over it. Nothing else will be more important that weekend.
Just look at the line up already, and there's plenty more names to be announced soon! Keep your eyes open for updates on the website or like Groezrock on facebook to support this awesome hometown festival!
Will you be attending Groezrock? Which bands are you most excited about? I'm personally really happy about seeing Simple Plan, they were my favourite band when I was about 12!
